Where a Roots booster fits

A RUVAC booster works between the chamber and a backing pump. It can increase pumping capacity in the appropriate pressure region, but cannot exhaust independently to atmosphere. Size the combination from gas load, operating pressure and required evacuation time.

WA and WAU choices

WA uses a standard motor and needs the correct start sequence and differential-pressure protection. WAU adds an integrated pressure-equalisation bypass. Both need a correctly sized backing pump, suitable drive and process protection. Other RUVAC motor families, including WS/WSU and WH/WHU, require separate specification.

Compare nominal capacity carefully

These are nominal displacements, not chamber pumping speeds. Effective performance and ultimate pressure depend on the complete system. Manufacturer documents differ on flange standard; confirm the order-specific flange drawing before purchasing mating hardware.
