Vacuum infusion and RTM light need a controlled vacuum supply throughout the process. Choose a system around the mould, leak rate, pressure at the tool and number of jobs running together—not just the largest flow figure on a pump label.

COMPOSITVAC: a system built for composite processing
MIL’S describes COMPOSITVAC as a range of mobile and stationary vacuum plants for vacuum infusion and RTM light. The EVISA-equipped models use oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps. They should not be specified as oil-free systems.

Start with the mould and process
Tell us the resin system, required pressure at the mould, bag or tool volume, acceptable evacuation time and expected leakage. Include the length and bore of the connecting pipework and the number of moulds that may be active together. Pump inlet pressure and pressure at the tool can differ when gas is flowing.
Where different stages need different pressure levels, specify those levels and the required regulation. Do not assume that a receiver compensates for inadequate pumping capacity during sustained leakage.
Protect the pump and measure where it matters
Discuss resin collection, inlet filtration and vapour handling before connecting the system. A resin trap and an inlet filter serve different purposes; the correct arrangement depends on the process. An exhaust filter is not a universal solution for chemical exposure or emissions.
For local indication, compare vacuum dial gauges. Where you need recorded readings or an electrical signal, look at portable meters and vacuum transducers, checking the measuring principle and range. The gauge selection guide explains pressure references and calibration points.

Is COMPOSITVAC oil-free?
The EVISA-equipped COMPOSITVAC models listed here use lubricated rotary vane technology. If a dry pumping chamber is essential, discuss the process with us and compare the MIL’S SIRELLA family; it is not automatically a substitute for a complete COMPOSITVAC installation.
Can I use the same vacuum supply for several moulds?
Possibly, if the process duties are compatible. Start with our central vacuum guide and give us simultaneous demand, regulation requirements and the isolation arrangement. One leaking tool should be considered in the design of the shared supply.
Which gauge should I use for resin infusion?
Specify the pressure reference, useful working range, connection and exposure to vapour or resin. Browse vacuum measurement and include any calibration requirement with your enquiry.

Send your process pressure, mould sizes, number of outlets, resin details and electrical supply. We will clarify the pump, receiver, controls and separately required accessories before quoting.
