the nEXT85D offers NW40, DN63 and DN100 inlet options. The nEXT240D and nEXT300D use DN100 inlets; the nEXT400D and nEXT730D use DN160; the nEXT930D uses DN200. Pumping speed varies with gas and, on some models, flange version.

Questions about turbomolecular pumps Does a turbomolecular pump need a backing pump? Yes. A turbomolecular pump performs differently with nitrogen, argon, helium and hydrogen. The inlet geometry can also affect performance: for example, the nEXT730D has different ISO-K and CF ratings. Compare the figures for the gas and flange you will use. Which gauges and fittings should I include? Choose vacuum gauges for both the high-vacuum chamber and backing line, with measurement ranges suited to each location. Match the vacuum fittings to the pump and chamber, and keep the inlet connection as short and unrestricted as the installation allows. Can I replace my existing pump without changing the rest of the system? It depends on the connections, backing pump, controls and cooling already installed.
