Roots booster for an engineered vacuum system
The RUVAC WA / WAU 2001 adds pumping capacity to a correctly matched backing pump for duties such as vacuum drying, furnace evacuation and coating load-locks. Its nominal displacement is 2050 m³/h at 50 Hz. This is the swept capacity of the booster, not a guaranteed pumping speed at your chamber.

Choose WA or WAU
WA uses a standard flange-mounted motor and requires the start sequence and differential-pressure protection to be designed around the backing pump. WAU incorporates a pressure-equalisation bypass. The bypass does not remove the need for a backing pump, correct protection or application-specific sizing.
Backing pump, process and installation
Oil-sealed and dry backing pumps are possible within an engineered combination. Compare SOGEVAC, TRIVAC L and DRYVAC families with Girovac; these links do not establish that every model is an approved pairing. Pump speed and ultimate pressure depend on the selected combination, gas load, pipework and operating conditions.
The pumping chamber operates without injected oil, while bearings and gearing use lubricant. This is not an entirely lubricant-free machine. Confirm lubricant, seal and gas compatibility for the process. Special hazardous-duty variants require separate assessment; a standard listing is not a hazardous-area approval.
Connections and electrical configuration
Nominal ports are DN 160. Leybold’s range brochure labels the connections PN6 while the supplied WA/WAU operating manual labels them ISO-K. Confirm the exact flange drawing, adapter and mounting arrangement against the selected order number before ordering pipework. Supply voltage, motor, protection and control equipment are specified in the quotation; a model name alone does not identify an electrical build.
