Product details
Edwards nEXT300D for your high-vacuum system
The Edwards nEXT300D offers 300 l/s nitrogen pumping speed with a DN100 ISO-K or CF inlet. It combines the same inlet size as the nEXT240D with higher pumping speeds across the four gases listed below, giving you another option when sizing a high-vacuum system.
Pumping speeds and connections
| Gas | Pumping speed |
|---|
| Nitrogen (N₂) | 300 l/s |
|---|
| Argon (Ar) | 280 l/s |
|---|
| Helium (He) | 340 l/s |
|---|
| Hydrogen (H₂) | 280 l/s |
|---|
Pumping speed depends on the gas being removed. The table gives the pump’s ratings; the effective speed at the chamber also depends on the connecting pipework and operating pressure.
High-vacuum inlet: DN100 ISO-K or CF. Backing connection: NW25.
Putting the system together
A suitable backing pump removes gas from the turbo pump’s exhaust and maintains the required forevacuum pressure. Its capacity needs to suit your gas load as well as the turbo model. Explore two-stage rotary vane backing pumps or ask us about an alternative arrangement for your process.
The nEXT range has integrated drive electronics. We can help you match the power supply, control interface, cables and any external controller to the exact pump version. Air and water cooling accessories are available; the right arrangement depends on gas type, throughput and ambient temperature.
Replacement pumps and servicing
Replacing an existing pump? Send us its full model reference and a photograph of the nameplate, together with the controller and flange details. We can check the connections and equipment needed for the replacement.
If the pump has developed a fault, include any fault code or change in performance when you ask about servicing.
Technical literature

Questions about the nEXT300D
Which other model should I compare?
Compare the nEXT240D if you need a DN100 inlet and 240 l/s nitrogen pumping speed. Check the gas-specific figures and installation requirements for both pumps before choosing.
Can this pump operate without a backing pump?
No. It needs a suitable backing pump and the manufacturer’s start-up and shutdown sequence. If you already have a backing pump, send us its model and your process details so we can check whether it is suitable.
Which vacuum gauges will I need?
The chamber and backing line operate at different pressures. Choose vacuum gauges that cover each measurement range and work with your gases and controls. Tell us your target pressure and whether you need a local display or a signal for the control system.
What is included with the pump?
Your quotation will set out the pump version, power supply, controls, cables and cooling accessories included. Let us know which items you already have so we can quote what you need.
Ask Girovac about this pump
