View quote listThe Core 90 brings a TURBOVAC 90 i, dry backing pump and local controller together on a bench baseplate. It suits small research chambers and analytical instruments where a compact, straightforward station is useful. Choose DN63 ISO-K or CF for the larger connection, or the DN40 ISO-KF version when matching a smaller instrument port.
For selection, send the working pressure and gas load as well as the chamber volume. A short, adequately sized chamber connection helps preserve pumping performance; inlet size and backing-pump capacity should be checked together.
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Turbo pump | TURBOVAC 90 i |
| Nitrogen pumping speed | 90 l/s for DN63 ISO-K / CF; 40 l/s for DN40 ISO-KF |
| High-vacuum inlet | DN63 ISO-K / CF; DN40 ISO-KF option |
| Turbo forevacuum connection | DN16 KF |
| Frame | Bench baseplate |
| Backing arrangements | DIVAC 1.4 HV3 or SCROLLVAC 3S plus |
| Controller | Local start/stop, turbopump speed or gauge-pressure display |
| Gauge inputs | One compatible active gauge; gauge head and cable specified separately |
| Power consumption | 250 W with DIVAC 1.4; 500 W with SCROLLVAC 3S plus, per station variant table |
Pumping-speed figures are from the Core operating instructions, revision C5, table 4. Confirm pumping performance and attainable pressure for the selected flange, backing pump and process. Ultimate pump pressure is not a guarantee of the pressure in a connected chamber; seals, gas load, cleanliness and bakeout all contribute.
| Backing pump | Supply choices | Selection points |
|---|---|---|
| DIVAC 1.4 HV3 | 100–240 V AC ±10% | Oil-free diaphragm backing; 1.4 m³/h nominal pumping speed |
| SCROLLVAC 3S plus | 230, 200 or 115 V AC ±10%; 100 V versions also listed in the current digital brochure | Dry scroll backing; 3 m³/h nominal pumping speed |
Both backing choices are documented for each inlet flange. The SCROLLVAC option includes an inlet valve that protects the backing pump on power failure. Select the exact supply variant and confirm its nameplate before connection. The UK choice is normally the 230 V scroll version or a correctly specified wide-range DIVAC version.
The Core controller provides a single start/stop command and displays turbo speed or pressure from a connected gauge. A delayed or pressure-dependent turbo start can be configured to suit the pump-down sequence. Pressure-based operation requires suitable measurement.
There is one active-gauge connection. Manufacturer-listed choices include THERMOVAC TTR 91 RN and TTR 101, and PENNINGVAC gauges selected for the required pressure range and interface. A gauge connection does not mean that a gauge and cable are included. A turbo venting valve is an option to specify with the system.
The mains cable is ordered separately. The documented 3 m UK-plug cable is 800102V0003. Confirm that the cable, station and backing-pump supply ratings match the installation.
Use the drawing for the selected backing pump and inlet. Allow additional room for connections, ventilation and maintenance, and confirm the assembled envelope before allocating bench space. The station is for indoor installation at 12–40 °C, as specified in revision C5 of the operating instructions. Consult Girovac for installations above 1,000 m altitude.

For wider backing-pump choices, bench/cart formats and more accessory connections, compare the TURBOLAB 90 pumping station. Browse the high-vacuum pumping station range or the standalone TURBOVAC 90 i/iX.
For a Core 90 quotation, send chamber volume, target pressure, gas or vapour load, desired pump-down time, flange, backing-pump preference, power supply and quantity. Include the available bench space, ambient conditions and any measurement or venting requirement. Girovac will confirm the configuration, price and delivery details.

Send the pump model and part number when asking about a replacement. Compatibility depends on the equipment and operating conditions.
Confirm the exact version, electrical supply and connections. Ask whether oil, filters, fittings, cables or controllers are included or separately specified.
Availability, lead time and the applicable warranty are confirmed for your quotation. A catalogue listing does not reserve stock.
