Choosing the ECODRY 25 plus Dry Multistage Roots Vacuum Pump
The ECODRY 25 plus provides dry roughing and backing for clean laboratory and analytical vacuum systems. Its 25 m³/h maximum pumping speed and oil-free pumping chamber suit applications where oil carryover into the process is undesirable. The enclosed, air-cooled unit combines the pumping mechanism and controller in a compact floor or equipment-frame installation.
Choose the 25 plus for clean-gas duties that fit its 25 m³/h capacity. Compare the 35 plus when chamber evacuation time or continuous gas throughput requires more capacity within the same stated enclosure dimensions.
Key specifications
Specification
Details
Maximum pumping speed
25 m³/h at standard ambient temperature and pressure
Typical ultimate pressure
0.01 mbar
Maximum continuous inlet pressure
1013 mbar; speed may reduce at high inlet pressure
Inlet / exhaust
DN25 ISO-KF / DN25 ISO-KF
Electrical supply
Single-phase 100–127 or 200–240 V AC ±10%, 50/60 Hz
Continuous electrical rating
14 A at 100–127 V; 7 A at 200–240 V
Dimensions (L × W × H)
494 × 248 × 304 mm
Mass
28 kg
Ambient operation
5–40 °C; indoor use, IP20
Maximum speed is measured at standard ambient conditions. Higher temperature, different ambient pressure and sustained high load can reduce speed. Typical ultimate pressure describes the pump, not a guaranteed pressure in the connected chamber.
Gas compatibility and controls
The manual identifies air, nitrogen, krypton, argon and helium as intended residual gases. Water vapour requires gas ballast and conditions that prevent condensation. This standard pump is not designed for flammable, corrosive, toxic or other hazardous gases; provide the complete process gas information when selecting it.
Local operation and remote serial or digital/analogue control are available. Gauge, valve and communications connections do not mean that gauges, valves or cables are included. Specify the control arrangement and matching accessories with the enquiry.
UK power and installation
For a UK 230 V single-phase installation, select the appropriate 200–240 V setting and verify the nameplate and supply protection. The manufacturer lists the 2 m BS1363-to-IEC C19 mains cable 161810UK as an accessory required for operation; include it in the quotation. Confirm voltage selection before connection.
Keep the inlet connection short and adequately sized, route the exhaust appropriately and allow airflow and service access. The dry pumping chamber is oil-free; the sealed bearing and gearbox lubrication still forms part of the pump design.

To request a quotation for the ECODRY 25 plus Dry Multistage Roots Vacuum Pump, send chamber volume, target pressure, gas and vapour composition, throughput, pump-down time and cycle frequency, connection size, electrical supply and quantity. Include any control, exhaust-treatment and installation-space requirements. Girovac will confirm the suitable configuration, price and delivery.
Confirm the exact version, electrical supply and connections. Ask whether oil, filters, fittings, cables or controllers are included or separately specified.
Availability, lead time and the applicable warranty are confirmed for your quotation. A catalogue listing does not reserve stock.
