Operating duty and pump-down
The nXDS15i permits continuous inlet pressure up to 200 mbar within the specified operating conditions. The recommended chamber volume describes pump-down from atmosphere. Larger volumes and extended high-pressure running require an application review because bearing life can be reduced. Size the connecting line and check the complete pumping-speed curve.
Controls and UK supply
The integrated controller provides local start/stop and standby functions, parallel control and RS232/RS485 serial interfaces. Remote cables and external TIC/TAG system controls are separately specified. For UK use, select the 230 V supply arrangement and separately ordered 2 m UK mains lead A50505000. Follow the manual’s electrical protection and connector requirements.
Gas ballast and process variants
The performance figures on this page describe the standard gas-ballasted model. Gas ballast improves suitable vapour handling while raising ultimate pressure. Chemically resistant C versions and R versions without gas ballast require separate selection; standard performance and compatibility must not be assumed for every process variant. Provide the gas composition, vapour load and cleaning agents for assessment.
Accessories and service
Select inlet filtration, catchpots, exhaust treatment, isolation and control cables for the system. These are optional unless listed in the quotation. Dry compression avoids sealing oil in the vacuum space; isolated bearing lubricant and replaceable tip seals still require maintenance. Keep ventilation and service access clear.
For a high-vacuum system, compare Edwards nEXT turbomolecular pumps and check the required backing pressure and gas throughput together.

Parts, consumables and workshop support
Send the pump model and part number when asking about a replacement. Compatibility depends on the equipment and operating conditions.
Confirm the exact version, electrical supply and connections. Ask whether oil, filters, fittings, cables or controllers are included or separately specified.
Availability, lead time and the applicable warranty are confirmed for your quotation. A catalogue listing does not reserve stock.
