View quote listThe TURBOLAB 950 brings together a TURBOVAC 950 i or iX, ECODRY 35 plus backing pump and TURBO.CONTROL i on a wheeled frame. The DN200 connection suits research chambers and analytical installations that need a large inlet and a complete dry pumping arrangement.
Specify the gas being pumped when comparing stations. Leybold’s cart datasheet quotes 925 l/s for helium at the inlet. Nitrogen and other gases have different pumping characteristics, and chamber performance also depends on the valves and connecting pipework.
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Turbo pump | TURBOVAC 950 i or iX |
| Helium inlet pumping speed | 925 l/s |
| High-vacuum inlet | DN200 ISO-K or CF |
| Forevacuum connection | DN25 ISO-KF (NW25) |
| Backing pump | ECODRY 35 plus, dry multistage roots |
| Frame | Mobile cart |
| Controller | TURBO.CONTROL i |
| UK electrical option | 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz |
| Standard accessories named in the datasheet | VIV vacuum isolation valve and THERMOVAC TTR 91 RN |
Helium pumping speeds refer to the manufacturer’s July 2025 cart datasheet. Installation and system ratings follow the April 2026 operating instructions. Confirm attainable pressure and gas throughput for the complete selected system, including flange seals, cooling, chamber cleanliness and process conditions.
| Choice | Documented options |
|---|---|
| Turbo version | TURBOVAC 950 i or iX |
| Inlet | DN200 ISO-K or CF |
| Backing pump | ECODRY 35 plus |
| Venting | Manual vent or vent-valve option |
| Supply region | Europe or UK: 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz; USA: 220–240 V, 60 Hz; Japan: 200 V, 50/60 Hz |
The regional supply option forms part of the order code. The USA selection in this cart range is 220–240 V, not a 115 V version. Girovac will confirm the full configuration code, electrical connection and included equipment on the quotation.
TURBO.CONTROL i provides local operation and system monitoring. Its RS485 and USB connections support communication with the pump, while Ethernet provides browser access to the controller’s web server. Recorded operating data can be reviewed using DataViewer.
The controller supports up to two active gauges. The cart datasheet lists the THERMOVAC TTR 91 RN and a VIV isolation valve as standard. Specify an additional suitable gauge if measurement further into high vacuum is required. The TURBOVAC iX version controls the backing pump through the attached Relay Box interface.
The manufacturer range page lists this cart without a flange heater. Confirm cooling, venting, gauge cables and any other accessories for the chosen build; do not assume the accessory connections of the smaller TPU-controlled TURBOLAB stations apply.
Provide the available floor space, chamber-port height, access route and electrical supply. The assembled cart measures 455 mm wide × 816 mm high × 859 mm deep and weighs 106–130 kg according to configuration. The manual states that the outer envelope is common to all types; the high-vacuum inlet position depends on the selected turbopump. Allow additional space for connections and maintenance.
Leave room for exhaust routing, connections, cooling and service access. Follow the supplied operating instructions when moving and securing the cart. Tell us about corrosive, reactive or hazardous gases so that process compatibility can be checked before selection.
The UK version is specified with a 2 m lead and BS1363 13 A plug, for 220–240 V AC single-phase, 50/60 Hz. Maximum system consumption is 2.88 kW and maximum current is 12 A. Select the UK regional configuration and have the supply protection and earthing checked against the installation manual.
The cart is rated IP20, with an operating ambient range of 5–40 °C and a maximum operating altitude of 2,000 m. Manufacturer ultimate-pressure ratings are <3 × 10⁻⁸ mbar for ISO and <3 × 10⁻¹⁰ mbar for CF. These are system ratings from manual section 3.2; performance depends on the fitted components and operating conditions. Chamber gas load, cleanliness and seals affect the pressure achieved in use.

Browse the high-vacuum pumping station range. If you are building a system from individual components, see the TURBOVAC 950 i/iX pump page.
For a TURBOLAB 950 quotation, send the chamber volume, target pressure, gas composition and throughput, flange, required i/iX controls, venting choice, mobility/access requirements and supply voltage. Include the desired pump-down time, measurement range and quantity. Girovac will confirm the system configuration, price and delivery.
See the standalone ECODRY 35 plus for backing-pump specifications and its manufacturer manual. These are component ratings; use the station specifications above when selecting the complete TURBOLAB system.

Send the pump model and part number when asking about a replacement. Compatibility depends on the equipment and operating conditions.
Confirm the exact version, electrical supply and connections. Ask whether oil, filters, fittings, cables or controllers are included or separately specified.
Availability, lead time and the applicable warranty are confirmed for your quotation. A catalogue listing does not reserve stock.
