Overview

The DVP DC 16DEX is a rotary vane vacuum pump. The documented capacity is 17 / 21 m³/h (50 / 60 Hz). Total final pressure is 0.005 mbar. Ask Girovac to match the configuration to your duty and electrical supply.

Choosing the right configuration

Choose this oil-sealed pump around the required pumping speed at operating pressure, not its lowest pressure alone. Include chamber volume, pump-down time, gas composition and vapour load. Total and partial final pressure are different measurements; use the total-pressure figure for a like-for-like selection.

Internal ATEX application only: the datasheet marking is II 3/- G Ex h IIC T4 X Gc. The pump must be installed outside an ATEX-classified area. Process and ambient temperatures must be 12–40°C, and the specified minimum pressure must be reached within 20 minutes. Submit the gas and installation assessment for model confirmation; the EX suffix does not permit installation in an external explosive atmosphere.
