DVP SC 80 Oil-Free Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump
The DVP SC 80 is a dry-running, oil-free rotary vane vacuum pump from DVP Vacuum Technology. It pumps 80 m³/h and reaches an ultimate pressure of 150 mbar absolute. Girovac supplies the SC 80 in the UK, stocks genuine DVP spares and vanes, and services DVP pumps in-house. Price on application.

What is the DVP SC 80?
The SC 80 is part of DVP’s SC oil-free range — 80 m³/h oil-free rotary vane pump, ultimate 150 mbar. It runs completely dry, so there is no oil to change, no oil mist at the exhaust and no chance of oil finding its way into your process — see our guide to the types of vacuum pump for how dry pumps compare.
What does oil-free mean on a DVP SC pump?
SC pumps run completely dry. Self-lubricating carbon vanes seal the pump instead of oil, so there is no oil to change, no oil mist at the exhaust and no risk of oil contaminating the process. The trade-off is a shallower ultimate vacuum than an oil-sealed pump – around 120 to 200 mbar rather than single figures. The smaller SC models are also rated as compressors.
Standard equipment on the DVP SC 80
- Silencer at the outlet
- Rotor, pump body and cover NPO treated for oxidation resistance

- Food and beverage, and bottling
- Construction industry
- Packaging of food and non-food products
- Plastic, rubber and resin
- Analytical laboratories, pollutant sampling and analysis
- Printing, paper industry and silk-screen printing
- Vacuum lifting and suction handling
- Wood presses

Figures are taken from DVP’s published datasheet for the SC 80 (part number 9815022). Noise is measured to UNI EN ISO 2151. Need the pumping speed at your actual working pressure rather than the nominal figure? Ask us for the curve.
How does the DVP SC 80 compare with the rest of the LC range?
The closest alternatives by pumping speed are the DVP SC 60 and DVP SC 100. If you are between sizes, size on the volume to be evacuated and the time you have to do it in, not on the nominal figure alone.

DVP SC 80 supply, spares and servicing from Girovac
Established in 1983, with more than 40 years in the industrial vacuum sector, Girovac supplies, services and stocks spares for DVP vacuum pumps from our workshop in North Walsham, Norfolk. We can supply the SC 80 new, source genuine DVP spares, and repair, service or recondition DVP pumps.
With no oil to manage, routine care comes down to keeping the inlet filter clear and replacing the vanes at the end of their life. If a dry pump is losing pumping speed, worn vanes or a blocked filter are the usual causes. See our DVP vacuum pump service guide.
We do not list prices online. Every SC 80 is quoted to your application, duty cycle and phase requirement, including delivery to anywhere in the UK. Contact us for a quote on price, availability and technical advice.
Frequently asked questions
What is the DVP SC 80 used for?
DVP lists the SC 80 for food and beverage, and bottling, construction industry, packaging of food and non-food products, plastic, rubber and resin, analytical laboratories, pollutant sampling and analysis, printing, paper industry and silk-screen printing, vacuum lifting and suction handling and wood presses.
What vacuum does the DVP SC 80 reach?
The SC 80 reaches an ultimate pressure of 150 mbar absolute, with a nominal pumping speed of 80 m³/h (50 Hz) / 90 m³/h (60 Hz).
Does the DVP SC 80 need oil?
No. The SC 80 is a dry-running pump — it uses no oil at all, so there is no oil to check, top up or change, and no oil mist at the exhaust. Servicing centres on the vanes and filters instead.
What motor does the DVP SC 80 have?
The SC 80 is rated at 2.2 kW (three-phase) at 50 Hz / 3.0 kW at 60 Hz and weighs 71 kg (three-phase). Tell us whether you need single-phase or three-phase when you enquire.
How much does the DVP SC 80 cost?
Girovac quotes the SC 80 on application rather than listing a price, because cost depends on phase, accessories and delivery. Contact us and we will come back with a firm price and lead time.
Can Girovac service or repair a DVP SC 80?
