Effective pumping speed and nominal displacement are different figures. Use 5.1 m³/h when comparing the documented effective performance. Chamber pump-down depends on gas load, pipework and the pressure-speed curve; the end-pressure figure does not describe capacity at every inlet pressure.

Table 6 of the January 2026 manual lists these 50 Hz builds. Its electrical table uses narrower voltage labels for the three-phase motors, so confirm the exact motor nameplate and connection with the quotation. Do not assume a 60 Hz version or apply a general speed conversion to an unverified build. Ask Girovac to confirm the UK mains lead or wiring arrangement and what is supplied.
Gas ballast and process limits
Two gas-ballast settings provide different ultimate-pressure and water-vapour capacities. The standard pump is not specified for corrosive, toxic, pyrophoric or other hazardous gases, oxygen enrichment, liquid pumping or large dust loads. Describe the gas and vapour composition so suitable inlet protection and an appropriate pump can be selected.
Installation and accessories
Specify inlet filtration, liquid separation where needed, exhaust routing and controls for the process. The manufacturer lists additional gas-ballast and maintenance components separately; they are not all included in the base pump. Keep ventilation openings clear and provide access to the oil level, filling and drain points. Follow the recommended lubricant and the schedule for the supplied serial number.
