Busch R5 rotary vane pumps
The R5 is Busch’s best-known oil-lubricated rotary vane pump, valued for reliable medium-vacuum performance on packaging and general industrial duty. Like any oil-sealed pump, it needs regular oil changes, occasional vane and seal replacement, and clean exhaust filters. If an R5 won’t reach vacuum or has become noisy, it’s usually oil, vanes or seals.
Busch MINK claw pumps
The dry-running MINK claw range needs no oil in the pumping chamber and runs with no wearing contact, making it popular for continuous packaging and food duty. The MINK MM series reaches an ultimate pressure of around 60 mbar. Being dry, servicing focuses on bearings, seals and timing gears rather than oil.
