A mechanical absolute vacuum gauge for non-corrosive laboratory and process systems. Its evacuated capsule and barometric compensation give a gas-independent indication without a power supply.
Selection and installation
Choose the scale around the pressure you actually need to judge. For this 25 mbar full-scale instrument, ±2% FSD is ±0.5 mbar, not ±2% of each reading. Avoid corrosive gases, heavy water vapour and dusty processes; discuss protection or a different sensor with Girovac.
Questions about this instrument
Can this measure high vacuum?
A 0–25 mbar capsule dial is useful in its specified low-pressure range. It cannot resolve the much lower pressures covered by Pirani and ionisation gauges.
Can I request calibration with my gauge?
Yes. Tell us the operating range, required test points and certificate requirement. We will confirm the calibration option for the selected instrument before quoting. Discuss vacuum gauge calibration.
Where could this instrument be useful in a vacuum system?
An absolute-pressure indication may be useful when specifying an EVISA E100.R rotary vane pump installation or LABOVAC laboratory vacuum system. Check whether the 0–25 mbar scale and ±0.5 mbar accuracy suit the actual working pressure; use a different sensor where finer resolution or a wider range is needed.
