Girovac is an authorised UK distributor for Edwards, Leybold, and MIL’S/Frenes vacuum pumps – meaning genuine new equipment and manufacturer-approved spares, not grey-market stock. We’ve supplied and serviced industrial and laboratory vacuum equipment from our North Walsham workshop since 1983. For every other major brand we work with, our workshop provides independent servicing, repair and reconditioning.
What does “authorised distributor” actually mean?
An authorised distributor has a direct commercial relationship with the manufacturer to supply genuine new equipment and official spares – as opposed to sourcing second-hand or grey-market units through a reseller chain. It means the parts you get are made to spec, and the pump you buy is exactly what the manufacturer’s datasheet describes.

What about the other brands Girovac works with?
We repair, service and source spares for Busch, Pfeiffer, Alcatel, KNF, Gast, VacuuBrand, DVP and Rietschle pumps even though we don’t hold new-equipment distribution rights for them. For these, our workshop is an independent service specialist – not an affiliated distributor – drawing on the same in-house expertise built up since 1983.
